SSF Ingenieure: Part of the green transformation in construction

As one of the largest CO2 emitters worldwide, the construction industry must take responsibility for the future. That is why it is also our strategic corporate goal

  • to combining growth and development with environmental protection
  • to initiate sustainable change together
  • to promote a change of thinking among all those involved in construction

SSF cares for climate

This is the guiding principle of our internal working group. For this purpose, 33 employees form eight working groups that pursue a common goal: more sustainability both in the construction industry and at SSF Ingenieure.

The working group pursues two core objectives: the development of a project guideline for sustainable planning in the construction industry and the achievement of climate neutrality at SSF. The provision of knowledge through lecture series and specialist training is an important part of the work of the committee alongside the development of a knowledge database and dialogue with active associations and interest groups. Our involvement in the working group should enable us and property developers to better assess projects in terms of their economic, ecological, and social effect and to act accordingly. We also want to develop strategies on how we as a company can become more sustainable.

What our employees say

“Looking to the future in all decisions is a good start to preserving the natural foundations of life in the long term. For our office, we always order seasonal fruit from regional organic farmers. This is not only environmentally friendly but also socially responsible”.

Annett Haase

Tender and office management at the Halle site

“For me, sustainability means a conscious use of resources. At the moment, this concerns mainly my private life. However, my aim is to actively integrate sustainability into project work”.

Tobias Gärtner

Project engineer at the Düsseldorf site

“The consequences of the climate catastrophe are real and can already be felt. I want to leave my grandchildren a world worth living in. That’s why I’ve been involved for many years – both privately at demonstrations and in my job as a civil engineer. Because sustainability in construction harbours huge potential – we just have to be prepared to change how we think”.

Dieter Stumpf

Founder and member of the Supervisory Board at the Munich site
