The Goeggelsbuch tunnel passes under a hill near the town of Goeggelsbuch over a distance of approx. 2.3 km. This tunnel was driven from both portals in excavation by mining construction. The portal areas were provided in an overall length of approx. 65 m in cut-and-cover construction. Pinanchored walls with jetcrete served as fastening walls. The final lining of the tunnel tube was designed in reinforced concrete with a minimum thickness of 35 cm. The block length is 12.50 m.
