The assigned alternative offer aimed at creating a clear design link to the famous prestressed concrete hall in Frankfurt as element of Lufthansa’s corporate identity, implemented according to today’s knowledge as a filigree steel construction. A remarkable aspect are the immense roof loads resulting from the use of several telescope platforms. Nonetheless, the roof’s load-bearing structure should reflect a particular optical lightness.
